"Medical science has made enormous progress and we should open the doors of the advancements made for the common man. Young medical practitioners should have the will for public service," Fadnavis said after inaugurating a private 'Anideep eye hospital' in suburban Mumbai.
There can be no bigger blessing in life than to be blessed with vision. Providing vision to those without it is also a blessing, he said.
"Around 75 per cent of eye-related ailments can be treated, but there is lack of awareness and adequate infrastructure," he lamented.
"Considering that eyes are the God's greatest gift to mankind, they need protection all our life," Swapnesh said.

The new facility provides a range of eye care services, including retina and lasik surgery, cataract and glaucoma treatment and paediatric eye care, he said.

Earlier, Fadnavis inaugurated a garden at Dadar in the memory of former BJP leader late Pramod Mahajan on the occasion of his death anniversary today.
Fadnavis said the garden reflects late Mahajan's pleasant personality.
