Voting ended peacefully at Williamnagar assembly seat in Meghalaya which witnessed voters turn out of 75 per cent today.
Voting was held at Williamnagar seat in East Garo hills district as it could not see polling with other constituencies on February 27 last due to killing of NCP candidate Jonathone N Sangma in an IED attack by the militants a week before the scheduled elections.
Voting started at 7 am and ended at 4 pm during the day, election officials said.
"Voting ended peacefully and there was no untoward incident during the voting hours," district election officer Ram Kumar told PTI.
A total of 32,000 plus voters were eligible to cast vote in the constituency at 58 polling stations.
Fate of the nine candidates including that of lone woman candidate and sitting MLA Deborah C Marak, in fray will be decided on May 1.

The ruling National People's Party, the United Democratic Party and the BJP are contesting the poll independently taking on Opposition Congress candidate Deborah C Marak.
The NCP has fielded the slain candidate's wife Krenila Marak in his place.
The outcome of the polling at Williamnagar would not have any impact on the health of the state government as the NPP, BJP coalition with others already enjoy majority in the 60-member Meghalaya house.
The NPP-led coalition enjoys support of 34 lawmakers in the assembly.
In addition to 19 NPP MLAs, there are 6 members of United Democratic Party, four of the People's Democratic Front, two each of the Hill State People's Democratic Party and the BJP. An independent lawmaker has also joined the coalition.
The Opposition Congress on the other hand had bagged 20 seats.
Meanwhile, the election commission has announced May 28 as the date for the bye-poll for Ampati legislative assembly constituency.
The seat went vacant after Leader of Opposition Mukul Sangma resigned from Ampati and retained Songsak.
