8 armed miscreants loot over Rs 1 crore from jewellery shop
Press Trust of India Katihar Eight unidentified motorcycle borne armed criminals stormed into a jewellery shop and looted jewellery worth over Rs one crore at Kami Tola locality under town police station limits in Bihar's Motihari district today, a police officer said.
District Superintendent of Police (SP), Siddharth Mohan Jain said out of the eight unidentified miscreants, four stormed into the jewellery shop and looted ornaments and gold biscuits worth over Rs one crore at gunpoint.
Several employees and customers were present inside the showroom when the criminals barged in.
Four entered the showroom, while four others kept a watch from outside, the SP said.
The Police have sealed all border areas and a massive search operation has been launched to nab the culprits, Jain added.
