8 killed in road mishap in Rajasthan
Press Trust of India Bundi (Raj) Eight members of a family including four women and two girls were killed today when a jeep they were traveling in was hit by a speeding bus from behind near the Gamach toll plaza on Kota-Lalsot Mega Highway here, police said.
The family was returning home from a Gurudwara on Kota-Bundi road by their jeep this evening when a speeding passenger bus hit their vehicle from behind, said Ajeet Meghwanshi, Station House Officer (SHO) of Keshoraipatan police station.
Five members of the family were killed on the spot while the others including two girls died on way to hospital, he said.
The deceased have been identified as Kulvinder Kaur (19), Kiranjeet Kaur (15), Sukhvinder Kaur (40), Parvender Kaur (26), Hardev Singh (40), Satyander Singh (14), Harmeet Joat (10) and Shanu (6), all residents of Keshavnagar in Bundi district, the SHO said.
The bus driver has been rounded up and a case under relevant sections would be lodged against him after conducting the post-mortem of the deceased, he said.
