8 lakh families benefited under Ujjwala Yojana: Das

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said 8 lakh families of the state were benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana which would cover 10 lakh more families by 2018.
The beneficiaries are being given LPG oven along with cylinders.
Speaking at a programme at Badri village in Gumla district, Das said women would be given Rs 4 lakh loan for self-employment under Jawhar Yozana, an official release said quoting Das.
The state government will set up four processing plants for apiculture and provide Rs 3000 to tribal people and the poor to produce honey, he said.
The chief minister said a company from Japan would come to Jharkhand to train the youth so that they get jobs.
Das gave two lakh rupees to Seema Kumari, an orphan who topped intermediate examination in Gumla, for further studies.
He said the tribal people should be aware that education alone is the panacea for development.
