Eight more persons have succumbed to swine flu in Rajasthan in the past 48 hours, raising the toll due to the H1N1 virus to 251 in the state, a health department official said today.

Out of 5,262 patients who were tested positive for the HINI virus, 251 have died since January 1 this year, an official of state Medical and Health Directorate said today.

Jaipur has recorded the maximum deaths with the toll rising to 51 followed by Ajmer 29, Jodhpur 28, Niger 23, Barmer 19, Kota 11, Pali 10, Chittorgarh and Sikar 8 each, Banswara and Bhilwara six each, and one to four at many places in the state.
