The data presented by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh shows the agency completed investigation in 7,217 cases between 2006 and June 30, 2016.
Out of these cases, 3,615 ended in prosecution (charge sheet was filed against the accused) while in 2,178 cases ended in prosecution as well as Regular Departmental Action.
671 cases ended in closure while 641 ended in the Regular Departmental action, it said.
In the courts, 6,533 corruption cases of CBI were disposed of out of which 4,054 ended in conviction (about 62 per cent) during the last ten years, the data said. These include cases pending from earlier period.
