Bengali screen legend Supriya Devi will be the mother of the 'Dadar Kirti' actor in the musical 'Sukhe Theko' re-invoking the spirit of the 80s romantic tear-jerkers like Chhotobou.
"There will be little contemporasiation and I will stirctly adhere to the strong emotional quotient which marked any Anjan Chowdhury production in those days and hence such a cast from Tapas-Satabdi to Supriya and even veteran theatre personality Manoj Mitra," the director of 'Sukhe Theko' told PTI.
Asked for her response, Supriya Devi said, "I had been sorely missing the films I had been familiar with in those days, those golden phase of Uttamkumar and even during the later period. Even the 80s films' milieu is sadly missing now though I must say have liked the work of some present day directors."
