80 startups recognised under Startup Odisha Initiative

At least 80 startups working in diverse areas have been recognised by the Startup Odisha Initiative (SOI), a state government agency, during the last two months, officials said today.
This was revealed at the second meeting of the Task Force held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (MSME) LN Gupta yesterday.
The Task Force also approved monthly allowance grant of Rs 20,000 per month for eight recognised startups.
Officials said 32 more startup applications are under process.
For example, Phoenix Robotix is developing technologies based on Internet of Things & Wireless Sensor Networks for industrial applications. Similarly, Maiestas Technologies is working on next generation LED luminaries.
The startups approved with monthly assistance also include three startups founded by women entrepreneurs.
The Task Force also recommended to Industrial Development Corporation of Odisha (IDCO) to consider giving priority to recognised startups in the matter of land allotment.
