Health Minister A K Walia today said the hospital, to be known as Delhi State Cancer Institute (South), will have best of the facilities available to treat patients.
He said the government plans to develop Chhatarpur as a modern healthcare hub and a separate 200-bedded general hospital will also be set up in the area.
"There is a need to establish a comprehensive cancer care institute in South Delhi to provide world-class treatment facilities," Walia said, adding that the hospital will be set up in a 14 acre area.
