Bahuguna selected the names of pilgrims through a computer software developed by Mumbai-based Haj Committee of India.
Congratulating the selected pilgrims, he said his government would take up with the Centre the issue of increasing the quota of Haj pilgrims from the state.
"The state government is also trying for a direct flight service from Uttarakhand to Saudi Arabia for Haj pilgrims," Bahuguna said.
He said his government was determined to improve the lot of minorities.
The Chief Minister said his government would set up Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Education Foundation for students belonging to minority communities.
He said a separate minority welfare ministry had been constituted in the state.
