84 Haryana hospitals to be given NABH accreditation: Vij

Eighty-four hospitals in the state would be given accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said today.
Vij today held a meeting with CEO of NABH, K K Kalra, in this regard and said that all NABH-level facilities would be provided in these hospitals.
The hospitals would include one primary health centre, one community health centre, one sub-divisional hospital and district hospital in each district, he added.
Apart from this, the new hospital buildings are being constructed in the state according to the NABH's guidelines and buildings of the old hospitals would also be renovated accordingly, Vij said.
Private firms would assist in the construction of NABH-level hospitals and a committee has been formed under Additional Chief Secretary, Health, which would formulate a plan for this purpose, he said in a statement released.
The patients would be provided all modern facilities, apart from building, doctors, paramedical staff, fire fighting equipment, laboratory, at NABH-accredited hospitals.
He said that five of the top 10 facilities to be provided in NABH-accredited hospitals would focus on patients and the remaining five on infrastructure.
