The five Bengali books include limericks, poems and articles.
The CM was persuaded by publishers and friends in literary circles to introduce her works to common people and she kept their requests, Sudhangshu Dey, president of the book fair organisers, Publishers' and Booksellers' Guild, told PTI here.
The response from readers has been great since the very first day, he said.
Among the five Bengali books, one is a book of essays on the global recognition of the Kanyashree project, which was undertaken by the West Bengal government.

The Guild's general secretary Tridib Chatterjee said, "Three other books by the CM, in Alchiki, Hindi and Urdu languages have been published in this book fair. These are translations from her Bengali works published in previous book fairs."
Bee Books, another publisher, has brought out an English book - 'My Journey' - based on her Facebook posts and tweets and on her days of struggle, Chatterjee said.
"I am an ordinary person... but I love to pen down my thoughts. I hope the books will be liked by everyone, including the young generation," Banerjee had said while releasing all the nine books at the inauguration of the fair on January 30.
