9th Indo-Myanmar Border Committee Meet concludes at Imphal

The 9th Indo-Myanmar Regional Border Committee Meet which started from October 18 concluded today at Mantripukhri here under the aegis of Spear Corps of the Indian Army, a press release issued today by Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), said.
The meet was a bi-annual event, which provided a platform for representatives of security forces and civil establishment of both countries to discuss and resolve crucial issues related to border management, bi-lateral cooperation, and terrorist activities as well as to strengthen the bond between the two nations, the release said.
Major General SS Mishra, GOC Red Shield Division headed the Indian side, while the 19-member Myanmarese delegation was represented by Brig Gen Thet Pon, Commander, North West Command.
Civilian representatives also attended the meeting, the release added.
