A lawyer alone cannot take credit for his achievements: Salve
Press Trust of India New Delhi An advocate cannot take credit for his achievements alone because he grows as a part of the system and has a team of unnamed lawyers behind him, senior advocate Harish Salve today said.
"A lawyer cannot take credit for his achievements alone because he grows as a part of the system and has a team of lawyers behind him, who are unnamed. They are behind the success," Salve said at a function organised to felicitate him for receiving the prestigious Padma Bhushan award.
The senior advocate expressed his gratitude to the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF), which felicitated him.
"The judiciary has over six plus decades grown into a powerful institution of constitutional governance. The bar is an integral part of the court and any recognition of service by a lawyer is a tribute to this great institution," he said.
