AAP activists' march to CM's house thwarted by police

Scores of AAP activists today tried to deliver to Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit around eight lakh letters the party claimed to have collected from Delhiites who have decided not to pay electricity bills, but were prevented by police from proceeding to her residence.
Activists in autorickshaws started their journey to Dikshit's residence in Motilal Nehru Marg from Sunder Nagri where Arvind Kejriwal has been sitting on a fast for the past ten days in protest against "inflated" power bills.
Aam Admi Party had announced that it will deliver the letters to the Delhi Chief Minister stating that they would not pay the power and water bills which they claimed were too high due to corruption.

The protesters led by AAP leader Manish Sisodia were stopped at Bhairon Marg near Pragati Maidan and were told that all of them could not go to the Chief Minister's residence.
Later, AAP leaders claimed that an agreement was reached between the protesters and police that the activists will be taken to the residence in four buses but the police went back on their promise.
"We were told that they will take us to Dikshit's residence in police buses. We agreed but on the way, they stopped and told us we can only take you to Jantar Mantar," Sisodia told reporters.

Following this, protesters shouted slogans against police.

Sisodia alleged that some of the party members were detained, but the police denied it.
He warned that the next time they will come with eight lakh people who will themselves submit their letters to the CM.
He said Kejriwal will continue with his fast and fight against Delhi Government.
