"We have registered FIR against BJP and AAP for the incident and further investigation is on," police said.
The clash happened around 5 PM when hundreds of AAP voulunteers and supporters had gathered near the inner circle of Connaught Place for the party's 'Rang De Dilli' programme.
AAP leader Mayank Gandhi tweeted, "They're at it again! BJP goons roughed up AAP volunteers at CP. Delhi, decide whether you want this kind of "development"! Grotesque!."
The Delhi Election Office confirmed that AAP had permission to campaign adding that it had prepared a report on the incident.
"A report has been prepared and it will be sent to EC for further action," an official said.
