The Aam Aadmi Party today demanded death penalty for all those found guilty for the sexual abuse of girls at Muzaffarpur shelter home.

The AAP also demanded resignation of Bihar ministers and other officials whose continuance in their respective capacity could influence the trial.

The partys Bihar in-charge Sanjay Singh, MP, demanded that a time limit of six months be fixed for concluding trial in the case, which is now being investigated by the CBI, and threatened that AAP would launch a state-wide agitation if "the guilty get any punishment less than death penalty".

Singh raised the demands while addressing the AAP workers at the Income Tax crossing here, after a march taken out by the party from its office to Raj Bhavan was stopped mid-way by police.

Singh also demanded that the CBI inquiry be monitored by a committee set up by the Patna High Court and key accused like Brajesh Thakur patron of the NGO which ran the state-funded shelter, be put through "narco tests".

The AAP leader also flayed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying "he should have resigned, taking moral responsibility, as soon as the scandal came to light, but he seems to have lost his sense of honour after having sided with the BJP."
