Amid a media report that a corporate group had allegedly tapped phones of several VVIPs from 2001-2006, the AAP today demanded that the government procure these tapes, get its authenticity verified and make it public.
The AAP said this should be done so that people come to know the truth about the "scandals" and "nexus between politicians and corporate houses".
Addressing a news conference, AAP leader Ashutosh also alleged that the PMO did not take any action in this case despite it reportedly receiving a complaint in this regard a fortnight ago.
He wondered how could a top corporate house tap phone conversations of high ranking people.
Ashutosh also asked at whose behest was the alleged phone tapping done.
