BJP activists today staged a protest against Aam Aadmi Party in Raja Garden area of west Delhi, alleging that the party was "disturbing religious harmony" in Punjab.
Scores of protesters, led by BJP national secretary Sardar RP Singh, also demanded action against AAP leader Ashish Khetan and party MLA Naresh Yadav.
"The AAP leaders have been continuously trying to disturb communal harmony in Punjab. Party leader Ashish Khetan hurt religious sentiments of Sikhs by comparing party manifesto with Guru Granth Sahib while Delhi MLA Naresh Yadav allegedly hatched a conspiracy to foment communal riots by sacrilege of holy book," Singh alleged.
The protesters demanded AAP head Arvind Kejriwal "expel" Khetan and Yadav from the party, and apologise to the followers of Sikhism and other religions.
