Singh, along with 18 other persons, was arrested on Friday under section 307 (attempt to murder) and section 353 (creating obstruction in government machinery) of the Indian Penal Code during violence in Gurgaon's sector 47.
Judicial Magistrate Kumud Guglani today granted bail to Singh on a plea by her counsel Narendra Kumar Jain that "she went to the spot only to videograph the tussle between the residents and the police".

"She did not instigate or abet the residents in violence, as has been alleged by the police," Jain said.
"Police have falsely booked her under section 307, 353," he added.
The residents of Sector 47 had protested against the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) which was clearing the debris of the April 12 demolition drive in Fatehpur-Jharsa village in the same Sector on May 15.
A police team accompanying HUDA officials then resorted to lathicharge and tear gas to disperse the crowd, and arrested 19 persons including Singh.
The councillor was admitted to the civil hospital here on Friday after she was injured in the police action, as alleged by her, and was yesterday shifted to the Bhondsi jail.
The court had posted the matter for hearing on May 29.
