"This cycle rally is to protest against the rampant VIP culture and the wastage of public money on VIP's in Punjab, especially the Badals," AAP leader H S Phoolka, who led the rally, said.
The rally started from Ludhiana yesterday and culminated in the city today covering some 100 kms, he said.
AAP volunteers with their signature caps and bands could be seen peddling to Chandigarh with immense enthusiasm while appointed volunteers acting as traffic marshals ensured that there was no blockage in the flow of traffic.
"The government has no money to pay the salaries of its employees but are spending lavishly on their security and travel," Phoolka said.
The MLA's have doubled their salaries but the old age pensions are still pending to be distributed to the people in need and the scholarships for differently-abled persons are also not paid, he said.
The rally is also against the increasing use of drugs and the government's failure to run De-Addiction centers properly, he said.
