The Arvind Kejriwal-led outfit also claimed that on an average five farmers have been committing suicide every day in the BJP-ruled state due to rising debt.
During the 42-day-long 'Kisan Bachao Yatra' (Save Farmers March), AAP leaders and volunteers will travel across 130 Assembly segments spread over 51 districts and interact with agriculturists and highlight problems being faced by them, a party functionary said.
"On an average, five farmers have been committing suicide every day due to debt burden. Overall, there is a debt burden of Rs 20,000-crore on farmers in the state. So, we are taking out this march in support of our 10-point demands," State AAP convener Alok Agrawal told journalists here.
The AAP leader said the BJP, in its 2013 manifesto, had announced to constitute a commission to look into farm loan waiver, but no headway has been made on this front since then.
"On the contrary, farmers are being harassed for non- payment of loans. They are being jailed for non-payment of electricity bills."
The 10-point charter of demands included waiver of all agriculture loans, Rs 5 lakh assistance to the family of farmers who have committed suicide and 18-hour power supply to cultivators, among others.
