Union minister Giriraj Singh today alleged that Aam Aadmi Party leaders were "bahurupiyas (impostors)" like Mareecha in the epic 'Ramayana', who are out to "cheat the people of Delhi again".
Addressing a street-corner meeting in the Rithala assembly constituency in Northwest Delhi, Singh said, "AAP leaders are betraying the people of Delhi... They are like Mareecha of 'Ramayana' having different faces. They are 'bahurupiyas' who will cheat the people of Delhi again."
The Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises alleged that both "Congress and AAP are playing politics together to win seats out of their greed for power."
Batting for sitting BJP MLA Kulwant Rana, Singh said, "BJP does what it promises. Opposition leaders ask us who is our chief ministerial candidate. We tell them what is your concern. We will fight the elections under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and gain majority."
"These 'bahurupiyas' just want to capture the CM's chair," he said, taking a dig at AAP.
The Union minister said his party believes in "management and commitment". "We have brought down the prices of patrol and diesel in the city.. We are trying to bring down inflation as well...," he added.

He appealed to the people to vote for Rana in the upcoming assembly polls and help BJP gain majority in the nation capital.
Speaking on the reunion of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and RJD chief Lalu Prasad, the Union minister said, "Both the leaders have looted their respective states. Now they will carry on the work together."
Addressing the gathering, BJP MLA Rana took a swipe at AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.
"Those who never experienced poverty, went to good schools and colleges would never feel the plight of a poor man... He (Kejriwal) quit the CM's post for his greed to become the prime minister...," Rana said.
