AAP MLA Sarita Singh files cross complaint
Press Trust of India New Delhi A day after an AAP MLA was booked for allegedly misbehaving with a cop at northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura area, the legislator registered a complaint alleging that it was the police official who had hit her car with his baton and used offensive language against her first.
"Today we received a complaint from Rohtash Nagar MLA Sarita Singh and we are looking into the matter," said a senior police official.
Yesterday evening, Sarita Singh was booked for allegedly misbehaving with an assistant sub-inspector, deployed at a marriage function in Bhajanpura area where Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was to arrive, after her vehicle hit the cop's motorbike while being reversed at the parking spot there.
However, the legislator denied all charges and maintained that the police targeted her only because she was from Aam Aadmi Party.
