Home Minister Satyender Jain moved the proposal to suspend Pushkar, which was then voted upon. Following unanimous approval from the House, Speaker Ram Niwas Goel gave his ruling in favour of Pushkar's suspension.
Earlier, Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta gave a notice demanding suspension of House proceedings alleging that the government was not following the constitution in its functionings. It was rejected by the Speaker prompting a walkout by Gupta and BJP MLA Jagdish Pradhan.
"We did not want to obstruct the proceedings. But the BJP MLAs themselves demanded suspension of work instead of apologising for their colleagues' mistake," Lamba said.
Yesterday, Sharma, who is BJP's Vishwas Nagar (East) MLA, was suspended from the Assembly for the rest of the ongoing Winter Session by Goel for using derogatory language against Lamba.
