In a letter to the Chief Election Commission, senior Delhi BJP leader Vijay Jolly chargedd that to gain cheap publicity at the cost of other political parties, AAP in its hoardings and posters, with their election symbol broom, is "demeaning" BJP's symbol Lotus by putting a cross on it (X).
"This is highly objectionable and utterly disrespectful to the faith and belief of millions of Indians who are ideologically and principally close to BJP, which is the principal opposition party of India and in Delhi," Jolly said.
"In such circumstances, the registration of AAP may be suspended or withdrawn", he added.
Kejriwal termed the BJP's complaint against his party as an act of "desperation" as their leaders are busy in infighting and the party "doesn't have a credible leadership".
