AAP's allegation baseless, ploy to divert attention: Mayor

North Delhi Mayor Preety Agarwal today rubbished as "baseless" the charge of irregularities in tendering process levelled by AAP leader Dilip Pandey.
Agarwal told a press conference at the Civic Centre here she was ready for any enquiry.
"The entire allegation is baseless and carries no truth, And, I am not afraid of anything. Let there be an inquiry, the truth will come out," she claimed.
Agarwal was accompanied by Delhi BJP general secretary and former north Delhi mayor Ravinder Gupta.
Gupta claimed that it was all a "propaganda" and a "conspiracy" by the Aam Aadmi Party to divert attention when there are corruption allegations against Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain.
The mayor said, "People like Arvind Kejriwal should not give us lessons on probity. They should set their own house in order first, before casting aspersions on someone else."

North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has been led by BJP since its establishment in 2012. The two other corporations SDMC and EDMC are also BJP-led.
However, none of the two BJP leaders, furnished details when asked as to which tenders the allegations referred too.
"You should ask Dilip Pandey, and we suspect that the matter has been orchestrated at the party's behest," Gupta alleged.
"After someone had lodged a complaint, alleging irregularity, the Lt Governor sent a letter to the civic body's chief vigilance officer (CVO), which is a routine process.
"And, if the AAP is asking for the mayor's resignation, I say, Kejriwal and Jain should resign, since there is allegation of irregularity against the health minister. If they are ready to resign, we will also ask our mayor to resign," Gupta said.
The mayor, when asked, if she has received any communication in this connection from the LG Office, claimed, "No, we haven't received anything.
