Stepping up attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, AAP today demanded his immediate resignation to ensure a free and fair probe into allegations of corruption in Delhi's cricket body DDCA.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleged that there has been corruption in Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) under Jaitley's 13 year-long tenure as its president.
"A fair investigation is not possible into DDCA's irregularities until Jaitley remains Finance Minister. So he should immediately tender resignation," AAP leader Sanjay Singh tweeted.
Jaitley, who had earlier termed the allegations as rubbish, said he could not reply to such vague allegations and suggested that AAP was trying to deflect the issue of alleged corruption by a senior Delhi bureaucrat.
"They can tell me what is the specific issue and I can answer it. I can't answer a vague allegation without any basis. Secondly, a state government and a party which is the dock for having supported corruption and having interfered in an investigation in this manner can't really deflect the issue without any basis," the Finance Minister told reporters.
AAP leader Ashutosh claimed that BJP MP Kirti Azad had levelled charges of corruption against Jaitley as DDCA chief.

The Delhi Government had last month ordered a probe into DDCA's functioning after a group of veteran cricketers including Bishen Singh Bedi had met Kejriwal apprising him of alleged scam in DDCA. The probe committee had submitted a damning report against the cricket body mentioning about financial bunglings.
Kejriwal repeated his allegations against Jaitley, saying CBI had gone through a file pertaining to an inquiry committee report about alleged irregularities in DDCA.
Following the CBI raid in Delhi Secretariat yesterday in connection with allegations of graft against Kejriwal's Principal Secretary Rajendra Kumar, the Chief Minister had claimed he was the real target of the probe agency and that it was looking for a file that allegedly "traps" Jaitley in irregularities in DDCA.
"CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. They would have seized it. But after my media briefing, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy. Documents seized from my office. No relation to allegations being probed. Item 7-file movement register of last one month," he said in a series of tweets.
AAP Spokesperson Deepak Bajpai said that the party will hold a press conference tomorrow where it will expose "massive corruption" in DDCA.
Singh said "the CBI raid on Arvind Kejriwal's office" was undertaken as the Delhi government was planning to set up a probe committee to look into this matter.
"The CBI raided (Delhi Secretariat) to hide the corruption of Arun Jaitley. What was the CBI doing when BJP MP Kirit Azad demanded a probe into the matter. The Delhi government is initiating a probe into this matter," he said.
