AAP traders wing questions its govt over min wage issue panel

The traders wing of AAP today questioned its own government over a 13-member committee constituted to look into the minimum wages issue saying it has no representation from traders and manufactures from Delhi.
AAP's Traders wing convenor Brijesh Goyal said they also demand that the government rolls back its decision of hiking minimum wages in Delhi by nearly 50 per cent.
In a meeting with Labour Minister Gopal Rai, he said the committee has representatives from bodies like FICCI, ASSOCHAM, DMRC and even PWD, but it has no representatives from the manufacturing sector and traders body from Delhi.
"Organisations like FICCI and ASSOCHAM are national bodies. The 13-member committee should have representation from Delhi's manufacturers and traders, who can put forth our point before the government," Goyal said.

The traders wing had earlier threatened to go on strike if the Arvind Kejriwal government did not roll back its decision to hike minimum wages by 50 per cent.
Following this, the government had decided to form a committee that would look into the matter.
