AAP welcomes Modi's gesture of spending Diwali with soldiers

The Aam Aadmi Party today came out in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's gesture of celebrating Diwali with soldiers at Siachen.

Senior AAP leaders and founder members Kumar Vishwas and Yogendra Yadav said the 'gesture' by the Prime Minister should be welcomed by all parties.

"PM spending Diwali with jawans at Siachen is a good gesture. Should be welcomed by all," Yadav, party's ideologue, tweeted.

Poet-turned-politician Kumar Vishwas, who is known to be a little soft on the BJP, said, "What was the best part about yesterday's Diwali day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was with the lions on the border."

AAP has been highly critical about the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over several issues. Its entire Lok Sabha campaign revolved around targeting Modi for his alleged links to industrialist Gautam Adani.

Recently, Yadav slammed Modi for lack of clarity on the foreign policy issue, especially after the cease fire violations by Pakistan and incursions in Ladakh by China.
