Bidhuri took a dig at Kejriwal, saying that people's loss of faith in their elected representatives had led to the birth of an "anarchic situation" in the country.
"It was the result of years of loss of people's faith in their elected representatives that led to the birth of an anarchic situation and the so-called Kejriwals of the country," Bidhuri said today.
He was addressing the SDMC House following the election of the chairmen and deputy chairmen of the Standing Committee and the Education Committee today. The House also felicitated Bidhuri, a former Delhi MLA.
Scores of AAP supporters yesterday clashed with police as they defied prohibitory orders outside the high-security Tihar jail where former Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal was sent by a court after he refused to furnish a bail bond of Rs 10,000 in a criminal defamation case lodged by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari.
Addressing the House, he further said, "The new BJP government under its leader Narendra Modi is a step in the direction of the restoration of people's faith in their representatives."
Hitting out at Kejriwal and his "spartan politics", Bidhuri said, "Goa chief minister (Manohar Parrikar) and state party chief Harsh Vardhan have already set examples of living a humble life.
