The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) today welcomed the peace accord signed between the NSCN (IM) and the Centre but vowed to oppose the agreement, if any of the conditions included in the accord touched the territory of Arunachal.
NSCN (IM) General Secretary T Muivah had made a statement at Hebron Camp on August 14 on "integrating all Naga-inhabited areas."
"AAPSU stands for the protection of territorial integrity of the state," the organisation's General Secretary Biru Nasi and NESO (North East Students' Organisation) Coordinator Pritam Waii Sonam said in a joint statement.
The apex student's body of Arunachal said that they respected the emotion and sentiment of Naga people for their fight for right and liberty but would never sacrifice or compromise even an inch of their land nor its people for the greater Nagaland, the statement said.
A delegation of AAPSU would soon meet the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju and R N Ravi and apprise them of the feelings of the people of the state, the statement added.
