Put in to bat, Maharashtra were off to a poor start, losing top three batsmen for just 31 runs on the board before Kedar Jadhav (59) and Ankit Bawne (78) scored half-centuries each to steady the boat.
The duo shared a valuable 102-run stand for the fourth wicket before Jadhav got out.
Besides Aaron and Ashish, Ajay Yadav (2/35) chipped in with two wickets.
