Academy award-winning writer Aaron Sorkin has signed on to adapt gambling memoir 'Molly's Game'.
The Mark Gordon Company has optioned Molly Bloom's book, reported Deadline.
Bloom was a world-class skier and political science major who took a year out after failing to qualify for the US Olympic team.
While working as a waitress in Los Angeles, a series of strange circumstances combined with her entrepreneurial skills saw her running the most exclusive high-stakes poker game in the world.
Eight years later, her life was turned upside down when 17 armed FBI agents appeared on her doorstep.
Sorkin is currently working on Danny Boyle's unnamed Steve Jobs biopic, in which Michael Fassbender is tipped to star.
He is also writing screenplays for 'The Politician' and 'Flashboys'.
The final season of Sorkin's 'The Newsroom' recently debuted, marking what he said will be his last television project.
