abandoned on the stairs of a temple in southwest Delhi's Todapur area in the wee hours of today, police said.
The incident came to light when the baby, who was left wrapped in a bedsheet at the stairs of Shani temple in Todapur, started crying and some labourers and the temple priest made a PCR call around 2.30 AM today after hearing it, said a senior police officer.
The newborn was immediately rushed to RML Hospital where initially her condition was critical but by evening it improved and now it is taking feed, police said.
Hospital authorities said that the baby is stable now and they are conducting tests.

"We are now conducting a series of test to see if the baby is fit for adoption," said Dr Aarti Maria, HOD, Neonatology, RML.
Somebody must have left her when she was sleeping and when the cold wind hit her, she woke up and started crying, police said, adding that the area, where the infant was found abandoned, did not have CCTV cameras and it is not known as to how long the infant was lying in cold.
Meanwhile, the staff of Inder Puri police station is taking care of the newborn with the SHO of the police station present at the hospital, police said, adding four people have come forward to help the newborn.
