The Kishore Chhabria-promoted Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD) has sold 25 million cases of liquor in FY14, a 24 per cent growth over the previous fiscal.
The growth was led by the company's flagship brand Officer's Choice whisky that saw a 14 per cent rise in sales in FY'14, taking its market share to 32 per cent in the regular whisky segment.
The company said while it grew at 24 per cent in FY14 in volume terms, the industry grew at a paltry 2 per cent. ABD has been recording a CAGR of 20 per cent over the past five years, it said in a statement.
Executive vice-chairman and chief executive Deepak Roy said, "The journey from 5 million to 25 million cases in six years is a testament to the strength of our brands. This achievement will serve as the best springboard for us to now reach greater heights in the coming years."
Its semi-premium whisky brand Officer's Choice Blue crossed sales of 3.5 million cases since its launch two years ago. The brand registered a growth of 156 per cent whereas the semi-premium whisky segment grew 19 per cent in FY'14.
The premium brandy Kyron, launched a little over a year-and-half ago, has generated substantial traction with 20 per cent and 13 per cent market share in Andhra and Kerala, respectively.
ABD is present in most categories - whisky, rum, vodka and brandy - within the spirits industry with a portfolio of brands like Jolly Roger Rum, Lord & Master Brandy, Class 21 Vodka and Wodka Gorbatschow.
