"Abjure violence and take the path of non-violence, for guns can never bring any solution," Prasad said while addressing an election meeting at Bhavanathpur in the Naxal-affected Palamau Lok Sabha constituency in support of RJD candidate Manoj Kumar.
Twenty out of 24 districts in Jharkhand are Naxal-affected.
As per the seat adjustment formula among UPA constituents, out of the 14 LS seats in the state, Congress is contesting nine, JMM four and RJD one.
