Ganpat Bhaurao Dhone came under scanner for 'treating' patients at his 'clinic' in Rajana village after Medical Officer Dr Ashish Pawar had filed a complaint against him with local police, said Pusad (Rural) police inspector P R Chavan.
A flying squad of medical officers yesterday raided Dhone's 'clinic' and seized the stock including pills used for medical termination of pregnancy (MTP), he said.
"We have booked Ganpat Dhone under section 33 of Medical Profession Registration Act, 1961," Chavan said, adding, the accused is absconding.
Dr Ashish Pawar said the team under Medical Officer Dr Yuvaraj Rathod conducted the raid.
"When our team visited his clinic, there were few patients on saline. We have also searched the stock of drugs and found a good number of Allopathic and Ayurvedic drugs," Rathod said, adding, altogether 148 drugs including preparations used in abortion were recovered.
Police have launched a search to trace Dhone who is absconding, Chavan added.
