"Abrupt closure of the session seven days ahead of the original schedule was not only politically motivated but highly contemptuous and outrageous, besides being violative of Rules of Procedure of Legislature enacted in the light of powers conferred by Section 85 of constitution of J&K," party Chairman Harsh Dev Singh told reporters here.
Slamming the BJP-PDP government for premature adjournment, he said the unprecedented move had created huge disappointment among various sections of society who had pinned high hopes from the session.
Lamenting that the present session saw the most flagrant violation of rules and procedures with the Speaker also making and withdrawing his rulings depending upon the political expediencies of the ruling parties.
Mentioning an example, he said that the Speaker's original ruling that the Chief Minister's comments relating to Article 370 be expunged, Singh regretted that the said order was subsequently withdrawn without any cogent reasons.

Sharma regretted Mehbooba's statement saying it was highly obnoxious as it dubbed as "anti-nationals" even the national leaders including Shyama Parsad Mukherjee, Din Dayal Upadhayay, Prem Nath Dogra besides others but BJP shamelessly acquiesced for crumbs of power.
"Not only that BJP leaders called upon Mehbooba to apologise and to reassure her that all her virulence and venomous utterances would be evangelic gospel for them and that she should continue to lead them thus ensuring their second fiddle role in the government" maintained Harsh.
He said that the only achievement of the session was the hefty doles announced for ministers and legislators and after that the session was adjourned.
Strongly opposing the decision of hike in CDF of ministers and MLAs, Singh said the same be kept in abeyance till the outcome of the enquiry ordered by the Governor into "CDF for vote" scam during the erstwhile government.
He also questioned the justification of enhancement of CDF in a situation when several MLAs had not spent even 10 per cent of the grants released to then during the last two years.
