Absconding driver arrested

The Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested the driver of the bus that had met with an accident on October 20 in which 23 passengers were killed and 38 others injured from the neighbouring state of Himachal Pradesh.
Rashpal Singh, hailing from Reasi, was absconding after the bus he was driving had met with an accident in Jyoti Puram area of Reasi district, a police officer said.
"As police was busy rescuing the injured, the accused managed to flee from the spot and had taken shelter in Himachal Pradesh," he said.
He said the police acted on a tip off and conducted raids at several places in the state and nabbed him there.
