Absconding juvenile murder accused held

On the run for a-year-and-half, a 17-year-old boy wanted in a murder casen has been apprehended from Wazirpur industrial area, police said today.
The juvenile was accused in an August 2014 murder case in which he, along with three others, had assaulted a man who later succumbed to his injuries.
According to the police, the group had an argument with Sanjeev Rana at a religious programme in Wazirpur village, following which they attacked Rana with stones.
The victim was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The three other accused in the case were arrested by the police soon after the incident but the boy was on the run.
Acting on a tip-off, the police apprehended the juvenile yesterday from Wazirpur Industrial Area, where he was working as a labourer.
