Ajay Tripathi was convicted in December 2010 for a gruesome kidnapping cum murder of an 11-year-old boy Neeraj in Bhajanpura in 2000. He was living in hiding in Agra with a changed name Akshay Tripathi.
Yesterday, he was arrested while trying to enter Delhi, said Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime).
A reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on the arrest of Ajay who had jumped parole in December 2010.
A resident of Bhajanpura Suresh Gupta had lodged a complaint with Bhajanpura police station in connection with disappearance of his nephew Niraj, on February 22, 2000.

The boy was murdered by Ajay fearing his arrest, and his body was dumped at a lonely place in Bhajanpura.
He was arrested and body of the deceased was recovered on his instance. After court trial he was convicted for life. He had managed to secure parole on flimsy grounds and was released on November 3, 2010.
He was stipulated to return back in jail on December 4, 2010.
