Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA) today offered options to people here to travel to the city in the Middle East with ease and comfort.
After its success in promoting Indian outbound travellers to visit Abu Dhabi, the TCA is now keen on attracting Indian outbound travellers from Kolkata in particular, describing the city as gateway to Eastern India.
"Abu Dhabi is generating a high level of interest as a multi-faceted, unexplored and exotic destination for the upwardly mobile aspirational Indian traveller," TCA Abu Dhabi country manager Bejan Dinshaw said while interacting on 'Abu Dhabi - The Destination for Indian Outbund Travel'.
Giving data on the growth in Indian outbound travellers, Dinshaw said Abu Dhabi welcomed 2,31,702 Indian guests in 2014, a 32 per cent rise over the previous year.
These guests delivered 8,50,443 guest nights which was up 23 per cent year-on-year with an average 3.67 nights length of stay, he said explaining how Abu Dhabi hotels experienced double-digit growth from the Indian market over two consecutive years establishing its position as the Emirates' largest overseas source market.
Reiterating Abu Dhabi's firm commitment towards the Indian market, he said the city is fast becoming the new hot-spot for high-end Indian travellers.
"As we continue with our marketing and promotional activities, the response from Indian market has been encouraging," he said.
