ACB officials arrested Gulshan Kumar, Sub-Registrar-VI-B of Narela and booked him for the alleged offenses of cheating and criminal conspiracy under the IPC and various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act relating to misuse of official position for pecuniary gains.
"A source information was received that large scale violation of various provisions of the Delhi Land Reform Act, 1954 is taking place during grant of NOC (no objection certificate) required for registration of sale deeds/ registry regarding sale of agricultural land in the villages falling under the jurisdiction of e-Sub-Registrar-VI-B (Narela) and the various provisions of the DLR Act are grossly violated," Surender Singh Yadav, Additional Commissioner of Police, ACB, said.
It said that in this way, transferor was avoided paying of fee for obtaining NOC for other purchasers.
Police said it was found that NOC for the transfer of agriculture land was verified by the Patwari as being an agriculture land but the land was being used for purposes other than agriculture.
On the basis of the enquiry, a case was registered at Police Station ACB, and accused Gulshan Kumar was arrested.
Police said further investigation is going on.
