"He was interrogated for about 3 hours, where the focus was the legal aspects of the recruitment undertaken and the power entrusted to the vice chancellor," the ASP C P Sharma said.
He said the interrogation would continue for some more time. Rajpurohit today served his last day as Vice-Chancellor of the Jodhpur-based University.
However, response from Rajpurohit did not materialise.
The ACB had summoned him for interrogation on February 13 but he skipped appearance citing ill-health.

As many as 17 persons including Vice-Chancellor, deans and head of the departments of a university here have been booked by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with alleged irregularities in recruitment of seven teachers in the varsity.
The ACB found irregularities in appointment of seven teachers and also registered cases against them as well as members of the scrutiny committee of Jai Narayan Vyas University.
The eligible and aggrieved candidates had constituted a 'sangharsh samiti' against the appointments and gave a complaint to the ACB alleging that rules and laid down for the recruitment of teachers were flouted.
