Kamal Sharma alias Kamal Kishore, charged with robbery, loot and other offences and in jail since 2011, escaped from police custody after he sought to relieve himself at the district court here where he was brought for trial, SP (City) Prabhakar Chowdhary said.
A case has been filed against Kamal and constable Satyaprakash Yadav, who had him under custody, he said, adding that Yadav has been arrested and a team has been constituted to hunt Kamal.
