Accused in Dalit youth's murder produced in court

All the 11 accused in the alleged honour killing of a Dalit two months ago were today produced in a district court at nearby Tirupur.
The accused, lodged in three different jails, were produced before the Principal District Judge, Alamelu Natarajan.
The judge directed that they be produced in court again on June 13.
Shankar was hacked to death by a three-member gang when he and his wife Kausalya were standing at the Udumalpet Bus stand on March 13.
The accused include the parents of Kausalya.
The murder was said to be a suspected honour killing, as the couple belonged to different castes.
The case was going on in a Udumalpet court and after copies of charge sheet were given to the accused, the case was shifted to the Principal District Court at Tirupur recently.
