Police have arrested a 26-year-old man wanted for his alleged role in sensational kidnapping and murder of a steel company's manager which had rocked the national capital in 2010.
Kamlesh, a resident of Mainpuri, UP carried a reward of Rs one lakh on his arrest. He was nabbed on Tuesday following a tip-off, police said.
"We got a tip-off that Kamlesh will come near Karnal by pass, Delhi to meet an associate to plan some crime. A trap was laid and he was arrested," said a senior police official.
"In his interrogation, the accused revealed many other criminal activities in which he had remained involved while he was absconding from law. It is being verified and the concerned police station has been intimated of his arrest," he said.
On July 25, 2010, Naresh Bhati, manager of M/s Krishna Steels, Najafgarh, Delhi had left for his home in his car along with his driver, Arun, with a substantial amount of cash but he never reached home.
Next day, his body was found in Sohna area of Palwal district in Haryana.
Ensuing probe revealed that the driver of the deceased, Arun, along with his associates-- Kamlesh, Mahender and Alok alias Narayan-- had kidnapped, robbed and murdered Bhati in a well thought conspiracy.
While Arun and Mahender were subsequently arrested, Kamlesh and Alok kept on evading the law.
