Accused will be arrested in a day or two: IGP

Police have got definite leads in the case relating to the damaging the bust of P Krishna Pillai, founder leader of Communist Movement in Kerala and torching of his memorial in Alapuzha district on October 31, a top official today said.
The accused would be arrested in a day or two, IGP K Padmakumar, the investigating officer in the case, told reporters here after a meeting of police officers.
"Police have got specific information in the case and within a day or two the accused would be arrested", he said.
Refusing to give any further details, he said the probe was going on. There was good progress in the case.
Unidentified persons had damaged the bust and burnt the memorial of Pillai, founder-secretary of the Communist Party in Kerala when it was formed in 1937.
